By using ADU Made Simple (the “Service”), operated by BlaKei Solutions LLC, you agree to these terms.

What this is

ADU Made Simple provides plain-English guidance, cost estimates, and design visualization tools for California homeowners considering an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). It also connects homeowners with contractors and mortgage brokers.

Not professional advice

Everything on this site — cost ranges, timelines, renderings, and zoning summaries — is a simplified estimate, not a professional quote, legal advice, financial advice, or a guarantee. Estimates are directional (typically ±20%) and can vary based on your specific property, city requirements, and finish choices. Always verify current rules with your local building department and get a formal quote from a licensed contractor before making financial decisions.

Contractor and broker marketplace

We do our best to verify contractor licenses (CSLB) and broker licenses (NMLS/CA-DRE/CA-DFPI) before they appear on the platform, but we do not guarantee the work, licensing status, insurance coverage, loan terms, or conduct of any contractor or broker you connect with through the Service. Any agreement you make with a contractor or broker is between you and them directly — ADU Made Simple is not a party to that agreement.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. You agree to provide accurate information, especially as a contractor or broker where license and insurance information is used for verification.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to submit false licensing information, harass other users, or attempt to access data that isn't yours.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the Service over time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlaKei Solutions LLC is not liable for decisions made based on estimates, renderings, or information provided through the Service, or for the actions of any contractor or broker connected through the marketplace.
